Stucco
Stucco is a semi-hard material used as exterior siding on residential homes and sometimes commercial buildings. Stucco is also semi-porous. It will absorb some moisture and can be prone to rotting or decay if left untreated, therefore it is extremely important to keep this material cleaned and protected.
Normally when we clean stucco we use a variable pressure power washing to rejuvenate the finish. Although, in some very severe cases, we utilize a special cleaner to remedy the problem. A final pressure washing is always used after a chemical application to this surface.
Adding a finish coat to properly cleaned and prepped stucco siding is very critical to its longevity. We use Sherwin Williams paint and stain finishes, all premium grade solid color and semi-transparent. Most vertical surfaces prepped and finished this way can last as long as 15-20years before additional reapplication are needed. Cleaning of these surfaces should be done every few years for maximum appearance and protection.
